Mike is the Cahners-Rabb Professor of Business Administration, Emeritus at the Harvard Business School and co-founder and Chairman of TruePoint. A prized researcher and management expert, Mike is a fellow of the Academy of Management, the National Academy of Human Resources and the Society of Industrial/Organizational Psychology. An accomplished speaker and teacher, he has spoken and taught at numerous corporate management meetings, programs and professional meetings. At Harvard Business School, Mike taught in the School’s senior executive programs and developed and led the development of several programs including Managing Organizational Effectiveness, Managing Change and Strategic Human Resource Management. In the MBA program, Mike led the development of a ground breaking first year course in Human Resource Management. Prior to joining the Harvard faculty, Mike was Director of Organizational Research & Development at Corning, Inc where his collaborations with executives led to several innovations in management practice.
In a career that has spanned nearly three decades in both management consulting and academic research, Russ has pioneered new thinking and practice on how leaders can more effectively transform their organizations to achieve significantly higher levels of sustainable performance and stakeholder commitment. His work in the area of large scale organization change and strategic alignment has earned international recognition. For example, his and Michael Beer’s contributions to the development of the Strategic Fitness Process received the 1998 Award for the Outstanding Organizational Development Project Worldwide from the Organizational Development Institute. In addition, Russ’s book The Critical Path to Corporate Renewal, written with Michael Beer and Bert Spector, received the Johnson, Smith & Knisely Award for New Perspectives on Executive Leadership. He has successfully partnered with clients on transformational work across a wide spectrum of industries, including Computer Software & Hardware, Energy, Environmental Services, Healthcare, Medical Devices, and Telecommunications.
During his 30 year career in management consulting, Nathaniel has helped dozens of companies improve performance and accelerate growth through more effective strategy development and greater organizational alignment and commitment. He has also led a number of major, multi-constituency projects to improve innovation, collaboration and outcomes in the not-for-profit sector. Nathaniel is also a Senior Fellow of the Harvard Center on the Developing Child.
Since the 1990s, Tobias has studied and assisted large, complex organizations in designing and implementing their transformation efforts. Recent client engagements include a five-year engagement in the telecom industry focused on longitudinal change. Tobias has consulting practice at TruePoint and is an Associate Professor at Chalmers University of Technology, where he researches and teaches strategic renewal. He is currently the project manager for a large upcoming study of how large complex organizations develop leadership skills to cope with global challenges. He is a Fellow of the German Peter Pribilla Foundation for Innovation and Leadership and co-founded the Swedish division of the Product Development Management Association.
