Stephanie McCray is President and Founder of Executive Material, a boutique coaching and consulting firm. The mission of Executive Material is to equip leaders to lead. Stephanie works with individual contributors, mid-career professionals, corporate executives, and their leadership teams. She spent 10+ years in the Insurance Industry holding a variety of positions with increasing responsibility. She is especially proud of leading a team of attorneys that presented a case before the Appellate Court that set precedent in the State of Illinois and was featured in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. Stephanie also spent 10 years as an internal consultant in the Health Care Industry specializing in strategic change, leadership development, and talent management.
Stephanie currently works with clients such as Amazon, Google, Atlassian, Bayer, Baxter, Pfizer, Amex, Target, Door Dash, Dover, Chief, and MLT. She spent 4 years serving as adjunct faculty with the Executive Education Program at Loyola University. Stephanie was also part of the leadership team for the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. She served as the Director of the Mentoring Program for the Chicago Chapter and as Chair of the Leadership Coaching Initiatives for the Global organization. It was in that capacity that she helped create an award-winning, global leadership program featuring Freda Lewis-Hall, SVP, Chief Medical Officer at Pfizer, and one of the highest-ranking women in the industry at that time.
Stephanie was born and raised in Chicago and loves the change of seasons. She is a reader, a writer, and a lover of the liberal and creative arts. Her first master’s degree was in Intellectual History, a passionate pursuit that she abandoned because she didn’t want to teach history. She also loves to travel although she still believes that the biggest adventure in life is traveling from the head to the heart.
