Jerry Hurwitz retired as BD (Becton Dickinson) EVP and CHRO as of October 1, 2016. During his three year tenure, he created and implemented a transformational HR operating model that achieved a significant increase in HR service and strategic performance with and a large reduction in overall HR spend, rebuilt the Company’s leadership development function that now includes the new Center for BD Leadership, created change management and organization effectiveness function that included a renewed leveraging of organizational fitness profiling and revitalized the Company’s approach to diversity and inclusion. Jerry brings a strong passion to coaching and mentoring his peers and business partners to overcome obstacles, develop themselves as leaders, support their team’s effectiveness, and achieve business outcomes. Jerry co-leads The Alliance’s Chief Human Resource Officer Community. He and his wife have recently relocated to Wilmington, NC.
